I've been practicing with bootcamp and qvault. EVERY single test I am taking I get a 19. I want to push myself a bit harder to hit the 20-21, but it seems that every single time, it's keyholes, pattern folding, and the dreaded TFE. Are these part skill and part luck? I understand the PAT is supposed to teach us perceptual ability, but some of this is just a crap shoot.

i feel the same way!

Same boat...Bootcamp is a lot harder in my opinion...can't break 19 either...but on the real thing I heard angles, hole punching, and cube counting are pretty cake. Keyholes are based more on proportions from what I see. The other two I hate and have trouble with...so we'll see...best of luck man...I'd honestly would be so happy if I got a 18 or above on the PAT.

LOS and cube counting make those sections cake. Angles are hit or miss, but I'm so frustrated at how I can't improve. The worst part is, with Qvault PAT there is less of an emphasis on proportions. With bootcamp, it's clear proportions are more important. Mind = blown...

ive done 2 bootcamp tests and 2 topscore and 1 Crack dat pat tests. ive gotten an 18 on all 5 PAT tests so far. last year when i took the DAT i got a 19 on PAT though
