Research at very big, famous hospital with stem cells? Paid 25k for 10 months. Most likely a publication But I don't like research so much, and in order to apply for the research grant I have to take 4 upper-div Bio courses that don't count toward my major.
Fullbright Scholarship? In some foreign country? I love traveling and foreign countries and have had some volunteer work done.
Would me enjoying my gap year with a FBS and not taking as many hard classes my final year of ugrad be worth giving up a potential publication and 25k and the opportunity to do research at a really great lab in an awesome city?
I have 1 year of research and no pubs. Also considering daad.de and getting an MS at a top 5 Germany University. What would you do in my situation?

You actually have the opportunity for a Fulbright Fellowship? Here's one instance where I can say this without feeling like I'm against immigrants -- get out of this country and don't come back for 1+ years!

+1000

There are pre-meds, and then there are Fulbright Scholars.

G'luck with your decision 🙂

Fullbright 100%..very unique for application

Research is bla..25k for 10 months is not a lot at all..and you don't like research anyway.

The fulbright application wasn't even due yet... how likely do you think you will be getting it?

Apply for the Fullbright, get rejected, then take the research position.

Pubs are nice, but schools care about quality of research. I'm sure any national scholarship like that wouldn't hurt you in terms of admissions, so I would go with Fulbright. As someone mentioned, you need to win it first thouhg.

I'd say Fulbright; a good friend of mine is currently studying business in Mexico on the scholarship and has spoken highly of his experiences and of the people he's been able to meet.
