Hey everyone,
I just want your opinion on what I should do. I have two activities that I did in high school (Swim team, wrote for high school newspaper) but when I contact the high school, they refuse to allow me to contact the high school teachers that were in charge of these programs because one is on leave, while the other changed occupations. They won't give me their emails or phone numbers to contact them. Should I still put it in my application? Or if there is no verifier, then they'll basically assume its not true?
Thanks

Regardless of getting a hold of them I would not include anything from high school unless you continued on with it in college.

👍

Definitely leave out the high school paper thing. IMO including it would likely appear as you just trying to fill up space. Only mention the swimming if you continued with it in college.

Use a friend or family member. They're allowed as verifiers (but obviously not for references).

I listed some travels as activities. I obviously can't write down the CEO of Cathay Pacific as a verifier and there's no one else who can verify except for friends or family members.
