Hi,

Not sure where to post this! I am applying for my CAP fellowship and am assigning letters of recommendation to programs - anyone who has gone through this - all the the program websites basically say a completed application includes 3 letters of recommendation (if they say anything at all): it doesn’t say a minimum of 3 for most programs / just says 3 is complete - is it bad to send 4 letters if I don’t know between 2 of the letters which would be stronger ? Obviously they might ignore the fourth letter, but who cares, right? I did double check every program website I’m applying to and none of them say "only 3 or no more than 3" because I didn’t want to not follow directions. Is sending 4 to all programs ok or is this generally frowned upon ? My program leadership is not helpful regarding this. If anyone sent 4 vs 3 letters, if you could let me know how it turned out, I would appreciate it! Thanks so much! Am probably overthinking as am submitting my applications today and am nervous!!
