Hello, I am looking at Capital University, a private college in Columbus, Ohio vs the Ohio State Univ. Does anyone have experience with this school? The have a pre-health program and the pre veterinary program looks like this:

I would them be applying to OSU vet school. I like the feeling of a smaller private school, and this one looks like it has made the us news and world report list.

Hello! I graduated from OSU many years ago! Go Bucs...I loved it, however, it really depends on you. OSU offers tons of Animal Science opportunities that you may not get at a small, private school. However, I think when it comes to academics, it's wonderful to have smaller classes and more direct attention towards your academic focus. It really is up to you. I did my second bachelors at a small private school, so I had the opportunity to experience both. The private school worked better for me in the long run, however I gained more hands on at OSU. In my opinion, when applying, it doesn't matter where you went to unless, you went to MIT, which 👍 to them! Grades matter most and there is consideration on how difficult the curriculum is, but for the most part, good grades from ANY school will get you a nod in the right direction. I have two girlfirends currently in vet school who only took their classes at a community college and never attended a four year institution(except for biochem I believe). OUCH to me when I got waitlisted and they got in! :laugh:That's why choosing what is best for your personal academic style is so important! Good luck to you:luck:
