cardiac otput vs stroke vol

CO = volume of blood pumped per unit time (usually per minute)
SV = volume of blood pumped per 1 heartbeat

More specifically, SV is the volume output by the left ventricle per beat.
CO= Stroke Volume x Heart rate.

Well, technically, SV of both ventricles should be the same.

Yes, you're right, or else blood will be pooling up in the right ventricle, whereas the left ventricle will be decreasing in blood volume.

However, in some book that I read, either EK or my mammalian physio text book, it claimed that the number gives more emphasis the left ventricle. I'm not sure what that meant since both pump the same volume.
