Hey all ~
I will be starting Cardio path soon and had a few questions. Is Lilly's Pathophys worth it to buy? To be honest, I really sucked at cardio phys during M1. So i need all the help that i can get. Also, many people buy EKG books. How helpful are those? Any suggestions will be very helpful. The same goes for Respiratory also - i sucked at resp phys, so any suggestions with resp path??? Thanks.

brs physio explains things very well and is very concise....combine that w/ either BRS or Rapid Review Path and you should be just fine. Needing an EKG book probably depends on how deep your school goes into it w/ you....I've heard some barely skim EKG basics and some go heavy into it. Either way, I thought Dubins EKG book was pretty good (the orange one).

try this book - http://www.amazon.com/Physiology-St...=pd_bbs_1/102-6104435-1152117?ie=UTF8&s=books

its an expanded version of the brs physio book by the same author, but with all the holes plugged in (and trust me, there are holes in BRS).

I actually had the 2002 ed of the book and simply loved it. The above link is for the 2006 book but try perusing both copies at barnes and noble and pick one.

That book did wonders for both my comprehension and grade in physio.

Cheers,
Knight

I LOVE Costanzo's physiology text book. From what I can tell the new version is very similar to the 2002 version. I'm gonna stick with my 2002 version just because I already know it have have my notes in it. However, the new version is bigger so I'm guessing somewhere there's more information.

I just got done with Cardio and I can say that Lilly+Dubin is the way to go if you really want a good understanding of the material. And both of them are about $37 each. Also, both of them are easy and quick read for the most part.

I don't know about any other books as we didn't use any other...
