Hi guys, any rec on the book to read for the cardiology elective?

I heard clinical card made ridiculously simple is good. Any other rec??

Thansk!

There's nothing in cardiology that requires a new textbook. If you know cardiology sections in step up to medicine cold, then you know cardiology. Everything else will be taught on the wards.

"The only EKG book you'll ever need" by Thaler, really saved me on cards. It's readable, mostly case-based, and I liked it way better than Dubin's gimmicky "fill-in-the-blank" style.

Dubin is very easy to understand, despite the fill in the blank. Honestly, if you memorize the cheatsheet at the end of the book (also available online for free) is a pretty good summary of all the cardio basics.

moreover, I found Netter's Cardiology to be a good reference book.

I'm just an OMSII but I found the book Pathophysiology of Heart Diease by Lilly to be great. It goes into a good amount of detail while also being very understandable. For ECGs I like 12-lead ECG The Art of Interpretation.

Just finished an cards elective and I found Cardiology: Handbook for Clinicians by Elias Hanna incredibly helpful. comprehensive, clear and concise down to the dosages.
Cheap too- only 35 bucks and small so fits in your coat pocket. highly recommend. wish there was something like this for every specialty.
