Doesn't matter what your situation is really. Getting the best grades that you can in science courses is most important. Orgo is typically more difficult than most other prereqs, so many times grades in Orgo 1 and 2 may be a little lower than Chem 1 and 2, for example. Regardless, a 3.5+ sGPA is what is minimally necessary for MD programs (I think the avg is around 3.6), and a 3.2/3.3+ sGPA is what is minimally necessary for most DO programs (avg 3.4 I believe). Of course, there are many different situations where certain GPA's can be mixed with higher/lower MCAT's that can affect prospective acceptances.
Nevertheless, do well in your science courses and shoot to get a higher GPA than the nationwide averages! If you've yet to complete a science course then you're at an advantage because you now only have to focus on these classes and know that doing well in them is crucial. Good luck!
