i am currently going to be a junior (undergraduate) this coming fall. i kno i want to become a doctor but my freshman year grades were pretty low. as of now i have a 3.45 cum and about a 3.1 science gpa. i have not take my mcats yet but i have completed 90 credits or preqs. do you think getting into a US medical school is a good possibility? or should i just apply to a carib. school? i don't want to wait around for another two years, end up not getting into a US school and then have to go to a carib. school anyways. any help would be appreciated!

I wouldn't stress over this right now. Concentrate on doing well in your classes (bringing up your gpa) and the MCAT right now. Keep your focus at the task at hand. It almost sounds as if you don't want to complete your bachelor's degree and go to a carib school. I wouldn't recommend this for two reasons. One, it will be tough to get into SGU or Ross without a bachelor's (MCATS are also required). Two, some states require FMG's to have a bachelor's degree. When the time comes, apply to both U.S. and Carib schools. You might also want to consider D.O. schools.
