Hey folks

I told DOROE I was going to warm up our old thread, so here it is. Let's meet at Casa Nueva Monday Aug 30 (Orientation eve) at 6:30pm. We can share the best piece of advice our COMrade gave us (great margueritas, food if you like). Invite the COMrades even, why not?

I spent the entire day filling out OU's financial aid forms, Sallie Mae's for the "gap" loan, and trying to figure out a private loan on top of it all (whether I want one and with whom). I still haven't found a good no-cosigner private loan not based on the school's budget, so if any of you are considering borrowing a bit above the OU budget and found sth good within those parameters, please share.

Peace and happiness
Eve

I'm adding it to my calendar too. I'll be moving to Athens in late August--without my husband and children. So I'll probably need a margarita (either to cry into or celebrate with!)

Can't help you on the financial aid stuff. I've got $11,000 in unmet need and still not sure how I'm going to cover that.

On the plus side, I found a cute little place in The Plains so at least I have a place to live!

As eve has said I am in. Sorry to hear about the husband and kids Willow. I to will be without my significant other until she can finish up her undergrad in Dec. I try to look as it as a chance to get settled into the med school routine and get to know some classmates better. Oh, and eve you are going to have to remind me of the date and stuff or I will forget about it completely (my palm crapped itself and I am completely lost without it). On a side note has anyone been receiving OUCOM In-Touch for the last couple of months? I haven't gotten anything since May. I am always worried that I am going to miss something important.

Believe me, every time the husband or daughter piss me off, I think "I won't have to deal with this much longer!" I'm not stressing nearly as much as the 4-yr-old who *really* doesn't want to go to school this fall. He's starting pre-school...just 3 days a week. And he says, "I dont wanna go to college!!"
