if you so happen to sit on the case secondary for more than 2 weeks, lets say 3 -4 weeks, do you think its even worth applying. I mean, will they look upon that negatively enough to significantly ruin your chances at the school?

Anyone with experience with this?

Thoughts appreciated!

Hey,

No, it doesn't appear to make a big difference if you don't make the deadline. I was over a week late, I called them and they said it was no problem. I have an interview scheduled, so I don't think they held it against me. Best of luck. I'm sure you'll do fine.

there's a two week deadline to submit the case secondary?
i thought it wasn't due until december.

i thought it wasn't due until december.

It says the following on the email they send:

The online secondary gives you the option of applying to any of our programs - the 4-year University MD Program based at Case Western Reserve University, the 5-year Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University MD Program based at the Cleveland Clinic, and/or our Medical Scientist Training Program. A detailed summary of these programs can be found at https://iapply.case.edu/program_desc_help.htm. Capsule descriptions of all programs are on the secondary as are references to appropriate websites. We request that you complete the online secondary within two weeks even though the deadline is December 15. Completing the secondary as early as possible will enhance your chances of being invited for an interview. Applicants taking the August MCAT should complete the online secondary as soon as possible even though final review of your file will not occur until those scores are available to us.

But as I mentioned, this doesn't appear to be a deal-breaker...

Yeah I was kind of wondering about that. I even got a reminder email from them to tell me to fill it out!
