Case Accomodations (Delta Sigma Delta)

I just found a place to stay! I will be staying at Sheraton because it's just there at the airport and it's not too expensive. From the airport, I believe there is RTA to Case.

Wow... you will hate Cleveland after your interview. RTA goes through those low income areas or "ghetto 😎 ". You will see only the ugly face of Cleveland 😀 😀 😀 😀

I'm staying at the Clarion in Beachwood. $89 plus tax. It's only 8 miles from Case and should be a nice suburb. Interviewing 9/21.

How do you get to the school? RTA or cap?
Yea, he called me today and left me a message. However, I already booked a hotel. I feel bad that I wasted his time...🙁 but the rate that I was given over the phone was higher than the hotel rate. (eighty something not included taxes)

As Huyetkiem mentioned, it should be a nice adventure. One way to look at your RTA ride, you'll be seeing the worst so it can only get better 😀

Well it's pretty much like anything else, it is what you make of it. There is more to do in and around Cleveland than I'll have time for during my time here. I'd say 70% or more of each class is either married or involved with a significant other so it's not a huge party atmosphere if that's what your asking. But there a plenty of people involved in everything under the sun that I've seen so far. Some people get together and drink/hang out and go to bars, attend Browns/Indians games, all kinds of festivals, travel to neighboring states for whatever reason, dental frat activities, museums, martial arts, hocky, play basketball with classmates, workout at the gym, etc, etc..
Great! When I graduate from Case (that's IF I get in), I will be a single but educated old lady!?

omg, here i thought i was going to find that someone in dental school. what a jip 😀
Lol, and I was being conservative! Honestly I think in our class of 75 students there may be 10 single students!

Now... how many of those 10 are men, between the age 25-35, and taller than 5"5?

Hmmm....maybe 4

Don't worry, there are upper classmen that are single too!!

Delts housing fee is $40/night....and it is only a 10 min walk to school. The house is around the heart of the campus.
Only $40? Because someone from Delts just called me today and said it's $80 something excluding taxes...

That would be surprising.....I will talk to John to make sure....but I am confident that it is $40 (and there are no tax on housing, only beer tax if you decide to really relax the night before the interview)

Ooppss, hahahah I went back and listened to that message again and I think that guy was calling from another place not DSD!!! (I still didn't catch his name and where he was calling from because half of the message was cut off) I was wondering about that this morning...why would John call AND send me an email? It was my mistake.😳
eerrrr... now it's too late, I already booked the hotel at cleveland airport! Should have waited a little longer... 😡

No problem....just make sure that you come a little early as it is a pretty long train ride from the airport to campus, and then you will have to probably walk about another 10 min from the station to dental school.
Good Luck
Do you know how much it cost for a taxi?

Last year when I flew in for my interview it cost ~$30 each way from the airport to the Delt house, which is right by the dental school. Also as a bonus I got to meet Musketeer, hey Derek. It was nice to be able to visit with an upper classman the night before the interview, kind of helped take some of the stress out of the whole process.
