Hi guys. I got this email from Case today. i had a pre-dec interview.

did anyone else get the same? is this the wait list email or are they still waiting for some grades from me?...

The Committee on Admissions has evaluated your application for the 2012 entering class, and it is the decision that your application be placed in "Under Review". We recognize the time and effort you have taken to prepare and present your profile to us, but we will need additional time to consider your application. Please complete your Academic Update through AADSAS when your fall grades are available.

You will be advised as soon as the Committee reaches a decision about your application. If you have any questions regarding this decision or would like to notify us of an update in your application status, please contact our Office directly at [email protected] (with an appropriate subject header and your AADSAS number) or by phone at (216) 368-2460 or 1-800-368-3685.

Got the same email. Pretty sure it's a waitlist/rereview status. As in, they are going to see which first choice students are going to accept/decline their acceptances, and then review our applications again to send out more acceptances. When in doubt, you can contact the admissions office. They are very responsive and easy to talk to. I believe an admin is also on the boards.

Yes, it's a continuing review; you're definitely among our "persons of interest" but we (and other admissions offices) don't want to overextend our offers (unlike airlines who like to overbook their flights). It's not a waitlist status because technically the class is not full. We also have interviews going on, so we want to be sure there are still seats available, even for those interviewing late (if possible).

If you haven't gotten an acceptance now, be patient since now a lot of things depend on what others who have offers will do. Things may work out for you.
