case western interview- accommodations

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hey when I interviewed there I just stayed in a cheap holiday inn hotel about 4 miles away from the school in downtown on Euclid avenue. It was convenient and I got to see what the downtown area had to offer

Awesome, how did your interview go?

I think the interview went really well. I am an OOS so that was my first time in that area and the school was really nice. The two interviewers I had were really laid back. The first interview was open file and the second one was closed file which I really liked. They were both cool dudes and it almost seemed more conversational than interview oriented.
Most importantly, each student I talked to there genuinely seemed as though they felt that they made the best decision for themselves by choosing to attend Case Western.
Its a very expensive school but it seems as though students are getting a good education there from what I saw.

That's great to hear.
I'm really excited about my interview there. I have a friend who goes there (not for DS) and he really likes it.

I chose to stay about 20 miles away from the school but got a deal of hotel+car @ $78
🙂

Yea double bonded,
I think you will like the relaxed atmosphere of the school and I also wouldn't stress in preparing for the interview. They asked the general questions like why dentistry, why case, tell me about yourself you know nothing weird or uncomfortable. If I were fortunate and get accepted I would def attend provided they give decent financial aid because they told us that the cost is approaching 90k a year

so i booked comfort inn in DT. so nervous for this. its my first interview.

any pointers??

im in my hotel now. tomrrow morning is my first interview! aahh:scared:

I'm actually staying at the dental frat. Not sure what that's going to be like, but seems like it could be fun.

for everyone who has case interviews, where all are you staying? at the hotels they suggested or the dental frat ?

I stayed at the Radisson in downtown Cleveland, it was nice and convenient. Also I felt like I got a good feel of the area and public transportation.

wowww.. interview was a lot more chill than i expected. admissions is really nice and i didn't really get any trick questions. they drill you about your aadsas to make sure you didn't just make up stuff.

goodluck everyone else!

I am planning to rent a car for my Case interview. Does anyone know about parking availability around the school?

I will be staying at University Circle Bed and breakfast. It is by CWR, and it seems pretty cozy. Pretty decent price and they give you directions on how to get there from the airport, by using public transportation.
