To be totally honest... I don't think you should waste your money. Yes, it is true that they are already started the wait list. Remember...last year they didn't take anyone from the waitlist and had to "over-enroll" in their class. They usually take only 70, but this year they took 74 or 75. People are saying this year is even more competitive and Case is going to receive more applications than any other year. Save your $45 unless you absolutely have to go to Case and still want that chance. Good luck!

I don't know anything really about the way Case works. I know that I had my application into them by Aug. 8th, and that I still don't have an interview until Jan 28th, even with good scores, etc. However, I do know that they have no supplemental to fill out...all you have to do is send in the money, no extra essays, questions, or anything else. My advice would be this: If next year you aren't attending dental school, would you wish you had sent in $45 dollars just in case they had dipped into the waitlist? If you have a resounding "yes!" to that question, I would say, go ahead and give it your all. You lose money in this entire process anyway, what's another $45 bucks? I am not made of money, trust me. I have not bought myself a thing (this includes dinner out, new clothes for my birthday gift to myself, etc) since I began applying, because in my mind my gift will be the education I am fighting tooth and nail for (no pun intended there, actually). If you have a bunch of other interviews lined up, then maybe you don't have to worry about this, but even as a possible competitor against me, I would have to say, send in the money. It's a door you leave open for yourself.

You already gave AADSAS money to send Case your application. You might as well spend the extra $45 to complete your file. Unless you have other interviews lined up, this is a no brainer. I would send the check otherwise the money already spent is wasted and you are taking yourself out of the running. Basically, you are rejecting yourself by not sending the secondary fee.

What you said is true but, you have to keep in mind that for all practical purposes, he's already out of the running. I'm not going to send my money to Case because no matter how good my stats are, I'll be on the waitlist. I know Case looks to have a cool program with modern facilities but, I don't think I'd want to be in a class where people are solely picked because they applied early. I want to be with the best of the best, both academically and in terms of strength of character.

Ditto. And Case sucks. Send me the 45 dollars.

I say send it. What is $45 compares with $1000 that you paid aadsas?

No joke. Case came to our school last week and I've never heard a presenter make a school sound more lame. There's 2 "O's" in "Aftoora" and there's 2 "I's" in "Idiot" and I don't think that's coincidental (....or relevant.) But, if it turns out to be "Just in Case", that $45 could give you the biggest ROI of your life, huh?
