I am truly curious to know whether anyone here has experience evaluating CASPer results (adcom members).

Things I wonder:

- Are adcoms able to see responses or just the total score?
- Has anyone actually bombed this test?
- How much weight is really given to this metric?

I wonder if there is a score threshold where people below would be outright rejected.

Given that we cannot even see our scores or compare them to averages, it would be nice to know anything more than nothing about how the test is utilized (apart from it being an extra 10 dollars / test for the school +pissed+)

1. Just your total score and where you rank relative to other test takers.

2. A significant amount of examinees bomb this test, which for CASPer means they generally rank below the 70%tile.

3. Variable weight is given to CASPer depending on the school. From no weight for schools piloting the test to as much as the MCAT or as a cutoff in the case of schools that have been using the test for several years+.

4. Some schools use a threshold and reject all applicants who score 1.5 standard deviation below the mean on CASPer regardless of their other credentials (ie. GPA, MCAT, LORs etc).
