random question:

the LAC operon exhibits "catabolite repression", could someone explain to me exactly how this applies to the LAC operon? If anything it seems like to me the catabolite of lactose (allolactose) spurs on the operon, and cAMP is high when glucose is low, and that spurs on this process to, so its like cAMP is pushing on the process as well...
