Catalyst Question!

Hi everyone,

I really need your help on this question, as I cannot seem to find the answer anywhere. Some chemical equations have a molecule above and below the reaction arrow. I cannot seem to figure out how to use this. I always thought that it was just a catalyst and didn't show up in the products, but I have found that some do. Can you please help with this?

the stuff below = solution/catalyst

You are correct, it should not be part of the product. It may be used as in intermediate, but should get reformed into the original molecule at the end of the reaction.
