i saw a patient without any significant PMH, no DM, no GI or autoimmune, etc. she has had an ulcer on the arch of her foot for 4 years. I did 2 punch biopsies and the path came back as “cavernous hemangioma.” I have reached out to the dermatologist at the hospital already. Anyone ever see this? Treatment options going forward? It’s very painful. Thanks.

I treated one last year. Hers was a small lesion plantar 3rd metatarsal head that another provider was treating as a verruca without success. Interestingly on the MRI you could see a small tiny vessel feeding the mass. I excised the whole lesion out and cauterized the area where it stemmed from. It healed up fine.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I talked with vascular, they said the same thing you did.
