What's the deal here? I hear that we are going to have ~240 questions tomorrow on the CBBSA that we are about to have, which doesn't match up with any of the ones that I can purchase separately. Is it the same test? We are taking a paper copy of it, since we aren't required to have laptops at my school.

Any clue?

Some schools buy tests from the NBME. Those questions don't come from the tests that are on their site which they are selling to us. Your school might have purchased a test to give to you guys and picked the questions out they wanted in the areas they thought would be most important. I am just guessing here that this is probably what your school did because ours does the same thing.

Interesting.. So they hand picked the subjects to be covered? Seems kinda strange...

My school does the same thing. I don't think that they hand pick the questions though. The paper NBME's are more similar to UWorld but a little easier in my opinion versus the online NBME's. All of the paper NBME's I took offered by my school had 200 questions each to complete in about 4 hours without any breaks.

So ours was today. It had 185 questions and was a paper version. We were given 4 hours to complete it.

I hear a rumor that everyone's predicted score is super low, you guys seeing that at your school as well? Do they tell you the classes/national average?

No, we weren't told the class/national average. I only got an email from the school with my report which looks similar to the online NBME reports but on a different scale.
