Manhattan Doctor Sues Patient For $1 Million For Posting Negative Reviews Online

Legal experts say it’s important to choose your words carefully when reviewing a business online. “Truth is an absolute defense,” attorney Steve Hyman said. “If you do that and don’t make a broader conclusion that they’re running a scam factory then you can write a truthful review that ‘I had a bad time with this doctor’.”

“After I got a bill for an ultrasound and a new patient visit, whatever that means, and it was not billed as an annual I wrote a review about it,” she told CBS2’s Lisa Rozner.

The doctor saw her once and billed her a new patient visit. She doesn't know the first thing about E/M codes and therefore flips out and slanders him. A million dollars is a bit much but I hope he wins. Teach her and her kind a lesson

lets just say id spend a lot on legal bills if i chased every bad review....

Good for him! Libel is libel.

If her review wasn’t truthful or based on fact, then she deserves it.
