There's a CCHR ad on this forum.

Which makes me wonder just how many people this website attracts that are interested in psychiatry in general.

Scientology spends quite an amount on web resources--with members spending large amounts of time altering wikpedia entries etc.

This site wouldn't have been targetted without a reason.

Anyways, I put this post up in the site suggestion section:
CCHR which is one of the front groups for the Church of Scientology put an ad on this website's forum.

As you may or may not know, CCHR & its parent group-the Church of Scientology have put out a number of materials which have been debunked, taken out of context and just wrong concerning medical practice, especially concerning psychiatry.

Does this forum have a policy about this?

My own opinion is-either SDN should accept advertisers--no matter who they are on the grounds that SDN will not discriminate against anyone--whether it be the KKK, an extremist political group, Kevin Trudeau (who's made claims that us doctors are part of a conspiracy to profit off our patients), etc.

Or if SDN does have some policy on not accepting certain advertisers--to consider not having CCHR as one of them.

Does SDN even have control over the ads? or is it some type of googleads type deal where they are just leave the space open for them?

It is my understanding Google feeds the ads, and SDN does not pick them. I believe we can exclude ads so they do not run in the future, though I'm not sure if there are any limitations to this. I'll forward this along to the IT folks & Lee and see what they think.
