I just bought CDM a couple days ago. I have done two tests so far, and both times I gave myself an extra ten minutes, but I'm not even close to getting the whole test finished (I have about 10 questions left by the end). For those of you who have used this program, have you had this same experience? Also, how similar is the CDM timing and the actual DAT timing (i.e. did you feel the same rushed feeling during the real DAT, or was it better because CDM was harder?) It's been a little discouraging to say the least, I have the test on the 19th, any suggestions for this section would be helpful.

I had similar experience. Give yourself couple of exam, you will be fine with more practice. IMO, if you score more then 20 within the given time with CDM, you are ready for QR.

I tried to do QR when I'm bit exhausted with study cause that's what probably I will be at the end of the reading comp during the real DAT. I try to mimic the environment.

Ok, I actually have taken them first thing in the morning, which makes no sense considering QR is the last section of the test. How much did you use the video explanations in the program? So far, they have been pretty helpful, just a little time consuming.

Initially you might feel it's time consuming but it's necessary. It does get easier though cause you will be encountering same stuff again so you might just skip it since you already know that stuff. I would mix CDM with other Math sources as well cause sometime you get used to with question in CDM and now suddenly in different environment (i.e. real DAT). I try to mix and match. Reach out to Kaplan and Destroyer with CDM. Just randomly google word problems. But try to stick to the DAT style. There is lot out there and you might get distracted and you will ended up wasting your time. I did same so avoid the mistake I already made. I hope this help.

YOu need more stuff than CDM...

I always had 15 to 20 mins extram time for CDM tests.....

Just practice .. Practice makes QR questions easy

Haha..well Asian or not, it seems the general theme is practice makes perfect for the QR.

RCT PC CRN: Thanks for the heads up, i found some great websites that explained some of the questions i had.

I like the Math Destroyer, my 22 in qr is all thanks to that book. I was familiar with all the problems on the DAT

Yeah, i've heard a lot of good things about it. I just don't have the time (or money) to go through the book legitimately. I do have the regular Destroyer which includes questions for the QR. What is your opinion on that as another resource?
