This might help a little:
There a two squares that are only connected to one square. Those two will make connections with each of the squares on their side.
So top square will make connections with the top side of the other squares and vice-versa with the bottom square.
Once you do this in your head you can start to rule out answers like A and C because in both of these answers the front face used is one of the top/bottom squares so just compare what squares they can make connections with and you see that they dont match.
Basically use the 3d explanation and keep unfolding untill you understand what i mean than it will come to you. But during the test just match the top or bottom squares with the squares of their respective sides.
