I took the first 3 CDP exams so far, and I got: 19, 20, 19. How do these compare to Kaplan? I also got 19 and 19 on the kaplan diagnostic and midterm (although I ran out of time on the midterm with 15 to go). I hear Kaplan is easier, but I seem to be scoring the same. I scored these without any tricks or preparation, just going in blind.

I want to raise this score by a lot, how do you guys review for PAT? I feel like this is my strongest topic so I really want to make it the best I can. After doing CDP, I just read through the ones I got wrong or marked, is this sufficient or too passive? Also I ALWAYS run out of time. How much time do you think is enough per section

i think the kaplan method suggest that you should be about to do cube counting and angles pretty quick like in five minutes so that you can invest more time on TFE, keyholds pattern and folding.

i m having the same problem as far as keeping up w/ time...way too slow.
my kaplan instructor/course suggested...

keyhole 10
TFE 15
Angle 5
hole punch 5
cube count 10
pattern fold 15

IMO for hole punch 5 is too lil so i use bout 10 there and cut off some from TFE and pattern fold. keep at it ..i guess? that s what i keep telling myself and my dat is in 2 wks. :/ lol

For me CDP was harder than the real dat. While practicing I got a lot of 20's and 21's with an occasional 22 thrown in there. When test day rolled around I ended up getting a 24.

I think the best thing to do as far as practice is find a strategy for each section that works for you and stick to it! When you're reviewing missed questions find out how your strategy could've helped you get it right. Good luck!

You got lucky dude. CDP didn't totally prepare me for the shat out images for keyholes and the paper airplane folds in hole punching.

I definitely got a little lucky. There were 2-3 pretty funky shapes for the keyholes section. Other than that it all seemed pretty straight forward.

CDP is pretty on par with the real dat id say. the only thing kaplan is really an enormous joke in is angles, the rest isnt ridiculously easier. I was getting 20-21s on kaplan, 19-20s on CDP and i got a 19 on the real thing. So id say CDP is pretty accurate
