Has anyone gone to it and if so can you provide feedback? Also, I'm looking at the site and it talks about registering and paying for it if your aren't a CDS member.

Can you just go to the exhibits without paying for it? (It would be $700 for me actually...)

I've been to the Midwinter Meeting twice. It's actually really cool and you get to see the best of the best in technology (from lasers to chairs to the newest "high tech" toothbrushes....and more, of course).

Unfortunately, you do have to pay for it. Dentists should get discounts though...maybe you could find a local dentist that can sign you up under his/her name for less than the $700.

Well that's unfortunate. Thanks for the heads up! Sounds really interesting...but I'm really strapped for cash.

I forgot to mention-the first time I went was with my school's pre-dental club and I didn't pay anything (I don't think any of us did).

UIC and UIUC go each year I think.

OO i got to UIUC hopefully they go this year..

Case Western Reserve University is having an alumni/prospective student reception at the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting. Attending this reception is free, but registration is required. If you want to be a competitive applicant for Case and are attending this conference, we encourage you to join us.

I am going this year as well, for the first time. I am attending Tufts in the fall but I work at dental office as an assistant currently. & the docs I work for are taking the entire staff this year! See you guys there!
