should we know the conversion formulas to go from celcius to faranheit?

I would say yes which this is not that complicated and an ez point.. I would suggest you to use a review book like TPR or Kaplan with maybe EK and you'll c what u need to know and not know. TPR and Kaplan usually has a lot more than EK on the physical sciences. Oh Berkeley review is excellent for this as well.
