Has anyone heard from CMU?

I hadn't heard anything from CMU since September after I was not accepted early admission. I finally called last week and they said I was below where they made the cutoff for the alternates, but they're having a lot of people choose to go elsewhere, so she didn't want to say for sure they would not get to me. But I'm not holding my breath. She said "they've been busy" and haven't been able to contact everyone. I'm not impressed with how they've handled things, especially compared to other programs.
