Cerebrum vs cerebral cortex

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
What exactly is the difference?

Cerebrum = Telencephalon

Telencephalon + Diencephalon = Forebrain

Telencephalon (or Cerebrum) has 3 components:
Cerebral cortex, basil ganglia, and limbic functions.

I see cerebrum as a division of brain.
Cerebral cortext as the part of that division of the brain that makes humans, humans. (we have a relatively big ones in relative to other species)
