so i'm thinking of attending a certificate program (15 credits) at UMDNJ instead of a masters program (36 credits) because I feel that my undergrad gpa would be competitive for the upcoming dental school cycle, and I'd rather not wait another year to apply to dental school

does anyone know if these certificate programs are helpful and/or has anyone chosen a certificate program over a 1 year masters program?

Is UMDNJ's master's program 1-year? I'm pretty sure you can finish 36 credits in one academic year. If you're applying this upcoming cycle, the earliest you can matriculate is September 2012, anyway. Why not spend that whole year doing a Master's?
