Hello friends!

Like many others, I am having quite a difficult time thinking of an example for the challenge or problem prompt.

I was thinking of a few things, but I fear many of them are quite trivial.

1. My car was totaled in the middle of the school year (no fault accident), and I learned the value of reaching out to others for help, and of handling the shock of the unexpected.

2. Worked very hard to get a group together for housing one year, watched it fall apart due to people bickering and leaving and failing to fill out applications etc. I feel like I learned how to deal with disappointment in this situation, both with people and with outcomes.

3. Determining whether or not to drop a class since I had too much happening (multiple jobs, MCAT, extra classes etc). Dealing with fears of failure/priority issues. (I think this is too academic focused)

I am leaning towards #1 or #2 but my parents want me to write about #3, so I was hoping for some input!

Thank you for any advice, I appreciate it!

#1 sounds better to me... You may be right about #3 being too academic, and #2 does sound a bit too trivial to put in an essay. But, I'm currently having the exact same problem as you with thinking of a challenge to write about, so don't take my advice too seriously

i'm not a big fan of these. #1 can be written in an interesting way, so it's probably your best bet, but try to think a little harder if you have any other experiences that might make more sense

#2 means you worked hard to put together a team and you failed

#3 yes, this is something a lot of people do every single day, not that interesting

1 and 2 are fine. 3 will get you rejected.

Agree with Goro.

1) seems lame and I can't picture it being a whole insightful essay

2) I think has more potential depending on how you write about it, but it seems like there would be more to say and more meat

but that's my feeling from what you have said, your ability to pull off either I don't know
