What is your sGPA? Also if you're trying to apply this coming June, I hope you asked for your letter of recommendations already.

I'd advise busting your butt for the next couple months and take the DAT in early March. This way you'll have another shot at it if you choose to retake it in June (you have to wait 3 months before taking it the 2nd time).

I think you have a good shot at NYU, assuming that you'll have good letters of rec and personal statement. Make sure to receive a letter of rec from the dentist you shadowed for100+ hours. Also 150 hours of research really isn't much of anything. Did you just start? If you did, I would note it somewhere on your application and that you're going to do research through out your junior/senior year.

Good luck!

You're right on track with your overall GPA but its very difficult to tell your chances since you haven't taken the DAT yet.

Yup, might as well apply to U Mich lol. But anyways, I would suggest looking at schools' average stats for accepted applicants. If you are near that average, make a list of those schools. (Make sure you can fulfill their admissions requirements). Then, I asked myself "if this school is the only place that accepts me, would I go?" if the answer was yes, I applied.

Why do you want to attend NYU if you don't mind me asking? I liked the overall atmosphere and location when I interviewed there. However, it scared me that the class of 2017 is going to be ~350 students since they got rid of their international program. Also the tuition/living was too much for me to handle.
