Apply to all your Texas MD schools and you should receive interviews. For AMCAS schools you could try these:
TCU-UNT
Tulane
Western Michigan
Oakland Beaumont
NOVA MD
Hackensack
Quinnipiac
Also apply to DO schools and I suggest these:
TCOM
SAM HOUSTON STATE
UIWSOM
OSU-COM
ACOM
AZCOM
TUNCOM
KCU-COM
ATSU-KCOM
DMU-COM
MU-COM
CUSOM
PCOM
NYITCOM
Touro-NY

Do you think I have a good chance at MD schools in comparison to DO?

DO tends to have lower median stats for accepted students. So, usually everyone has better chances at DO than MD, particularly on a reapp. You should apply to both
Am I screwed for MD?

For TX MD? No. OOS MD? Yes. IS and OOS DO? Nope.
So you think I won't get any interview invites from OOS even I apply broadly? I find that weird cause OOS schools were the only schools at which I interviewed last time

I think we need to take a step back. You have good chances at in-state MD schools. Same with DO, especially with TCOM. The OOS MD schools are not something I’d put a lot of faith into, as you had 2/45ish schools. It seems you gained a lot of experience since that cycle. You may pick up an interview at an OOS school again.

I think the reason original poster is concerned is that they applied to med schools in TX and did not receive any interviews or admissions their first cycle. Hence I think they have little faith that they will get any interviews this next cycle. Would that not be concerning especially given they only got interviews OOS?

That does make sense, but OP applied in 2020. I am unsure how their app looked back then, but it is possible there were some significant weaknesses and out of a large number of schools back then, there were 2 that resonated with something on the app enough for an interview.

Since then, it appears there were significant experiences that are completely new:

Court Appointed Special Advocates since December 2021

Currently working as medical assistant since September 2021 (very important of clinical experience was lacking before)

And two projects in a new lab

You can get MD. Your stats are good. MD is just competitive for anyone even high stat applicants.
IF you really want MD, you should be able to get it in a few cycles.

But if you want to be sure you'll get in 1 cycle, then DO should guarantee that for you.
However, given your stats, I would rather just apply multiple cycles if this doesn't work out for you.
Then before your mcat expires, for the final cycle (if you don't feel like taking the mcat again), then apply DO+MD.

BTW! Just gotta mention that essays and personal statements are more important than people realize.

Also it should be mentioned as a Texas applicant, a lot of OOS schools have enough experience to know to avoid those applicants because in the end getting an acceptance at a Texas school is moire appealing (cost of attendance). It seems that if you were a Texas applicant the last time, you were not aware of this fact and basically gave away a large part of your bank account. This is why with your scores your chances are much better in state or with a handful of schools outside the state that have a good record of taking Texans.
