I'm going to say no to Harvard and UCLA (only because your not a CA resident). Columbia is a stretch, but all the other schools are very well within your range even UPenn.

Welcome to dental school. Ivy's might be a stretch, but you can't get in if you don't apply.

Just remember to spell "you're" right in your subject line next time 👍

Be certain that you have a plan as to how you'll pay for some of those schools (Penn).

I was googly-eyed over and aiming for Penn when I was applying. I didn't calculate repayment until after I was accepted. Shortest euphoria ever. It's easy to get tunnel-visioned as a student and think you have to get into the most prestigious school possible. Step back for a moment and think through this with a real-world perspective. You are paying hundreds of thousands of dollars more than is normally necessary in order to enter the same job market as graduates of subsidized state schools.

USC and western dental school in CA are also pretty pricey, but if that happens to be the case where I get admitted to those only two schools, its better to attend that school instead of reapplying for a cheaper school right?

Unless you're a social disaster, you're in. As to where, it's TOTALLY up to your interview experience.

From personal experience, I did not get good vibes from Harvard, but had an amazing time interviewing in UCSF. So, you should have a pretty good idea about your chances by the time you finish your interview.

👍

I can't say. But I would seriously consider HPSP. I think it would be a wonderful experience to explore the world and be a part of something much larger than oneself. Your scope of practice is very limited in the military compared to the civilian's, unless you do a 1-year GPR/AEGD within the military. That's 5-years of service if you don't want to get stuck doing only bread-and-butter dentistry, or so I've heard.
