I am a Sophomore at the University of Iowa with really big dreams of going to Dental School. I work really hard for my grades even though I know they are not even close to what they need to be I have a 2.5 GPA at this point. I guess I need some either confidence booster or any alternatives for me besides dental school or a reality check. Thanks.

Well based on GPA alone I'd say your chances at admissions are really low. Thankfully, adcoms look at many other qualities outside of your GPA.
Make A's from here on out until you graduate (maybe even think about post-bacc). Score high on the DAT. Volunteer and shadow a lot. Get great letters of recommendation. Write a killer personal statement.

If being a dentist is something you really want to do don't give up.👍
