Chance of getting into texas dental schools? Temple? Boston? Midwestern? Lake Eerie?

I think you've demonstrated a great upward trend in your grades, so great job! I believe the avg gpas for the texas schools are in the range of 3.6-3.7+ so you might be a little bit on the lower end but I can't say it will be a real problem in terms of getting an interview. It could go either way since your DAT scores are straight 20s across the board too. I heard rumors that the incoming class in the houston school has an avg entering gpa of 3.8 so..keep hustling. You definitely have a shot, I would say to keep up with your volunteering and dental assisting if you can to gain more experience. And definitely apply EARLY. I cannot stress this enough! Make the rest of your application shine (PS, etc). Good luck to you 🙂

You should apply to 10 dental schools to have good chances of getting accepted.

I think you have around a 70-75% chance of getting into at least one texas school.
I'd say apply to about 5 more OOS that are very OOS friendly, but your chances out of state are less, obviously. And, you really have to travel to get to interviews since you are from texas... I'd say like Louisville, Creighton, Missouri, LECOM, and Midwestern would be the best 5 for you to apply to OOS.
In the end: apply early, have great ps, good LORs, good supplemental applications, kill the interviews (know the texas schools well and focus on preparing for those interviews). I think you'll make it.
