Hey guys,
I am a junior at UNC and I really want to get into dental school. I have a 3.6 gpa and my sGPA is a 3.5. I think my extracurricular activities are pretty good and I have almost 200 hours of shadowing. I plan on taking the dat in june but i was just wondering if my gpa was high enough to get into UNC or ECU?? And also what i should shoot for on the DAT to make me competitive to have a chance to get into one of those two schools.

Based on the 2011 ADEA guidebook your GPA stats are above average. The average DAT score for UNC was a 19, so if you can pull off a 20 or above you will have a shot based on the the stats. I dont know the info on ECU since its a brand new school. Good luck.

You a good GPA for admissions and your shadowing hours are impressive. So yeah, a 19+ on each section should put you in a good spot.

You comment on threads I comment on first and I comment on threads you comment on first. Sometimes you don't comment on threads I comment on and sometimes I don't comment on threads you comment on. Those are REAL FACTS and those are normal behaviors.

Thinking people are stalking you/obsessed with you because they comment on threads you comment on, is not normal.
