Hi everyone,

I'm an international student, currently studying in Australia, Melbourne University for a bachelor in biomedicine. I want to know if it is harder to get into US with a bachelor from Australia? Or should I transfer to the USA now and get an US bachelor for better chance at US medical school?

all medicals school prereqs must be done in the US. or they won't even consider you. I would say keep your australian bachelors and a post-bacc in the US.

The above poster is correct. You must have undergraduate training in the US to be eligible for a US medical school and even then, if you are not a US citizen, your chances of matriculation in a US medical school are slim. Many want to see that you have all 4 years of tuition and living expenses in a trust account.
