I'm trying to decide between the Caribbean and DO routes. Honestly, I wouldn't really mind either-whatever gets me to where I want to go.

Other stats:
Major: Biology
Minors: International Studies, Writing

ECs: I write for an academic journal on campus, I've had several summers of experience as a technician in an organic chemistry laboratory.

Little to no clinical experience =/. I plan on getting a good amount of this over the coming year.

Schools you would recommend I apply to? I live in socal so Western U is a given.

Don't go to the Caribbean. D.O. is a far superior option. There is a person on here (JonathanMD) that keeps a blog about life at a Caribbean medical school... read it. It's an accurate account and good information.

You should be a good candidate for DO schools if you start to gain clinical experience (volunteer and shadow). If you have time, I'd also consider taking a few more classes to try and bring your GPA up a bit.

If nothing else, get some clinical experience and you will be a shoe-in to several DO schools. If you can raise your GPA a little, also consider applying to 10-15 MD schools (US); your MCAT score suggests that you can do better.
