I have a 3.3 GPA. I've taken the MCAT once, got a 15. Needless to say, I'm retaking this January, and so far, just looking at my practice tests scores, I feel like I have a good chance at getting a score in the 30's.

I have almost 6.5 years of reasearch experience. I've volunteered, shadowed, and I've been a part of a few side activities (record label, music, community, leader, etc.)

I want to know if there are any schools that people especially suggest applying to (Both DO and MD)?

I also want to know if a Master's is worth doing to enhance my application? and if yes, which program/degree, etc?

Finally, is there anything else that I can do to enhance my chances?

Doing a postbac or masters programs to increase your GPA (especially your BCPM GPA) will help make you a competitive applicant if you score in the 30s. I'm not sure what schools will think of you first MCAT attempt of 15 though...

Lol, tell me about it. I wasn't ready to take it and I knew I wasn't, but I got pressured by my parents, who both thought I was ready. This was after a summer of working full time, taking 3-4 classes, and trying to save the world (via volunteering and charity work).

Master's: Yes, a SMP (special master's program, medical master's program, etc) can help you here. It is expensive and carries substantial risk if you do not perform well. A postbacc may be a better option for you, given your GPA and MCAT score.

... I'm not too sure of what to make of this mentality.
