Hey everybody!
I'm a current undergraduate senior who is planning on taking a gap year before applying for medical school. I have a weaker GPA 🙁 with 3.44 cGPA and 3.32 sGPA and scored 513 on the MCAT. I have decent ECs and lots of leadership roles, with a good amount of volunteering:
250 clinical volunteer hours
150 non-clinical volunteer
220 Shadowing hours
2 years in a research lab
1 publication

Because of my low GPA, I'm really nervous about my chances where I stand, so I'm trying to figure out if I need to do an SMP or post-bacc, or if I would still have a decent chance working full-time instead (medical assistant or research).

I want to apply to MD schools but am not ruling out DO, and I'm a PA resident. Please help me out, any input is welcome, thanks!

I suggest these schools with your stats:
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Commonwealth-Geisinger
Penn State
Vermont
Quinnipiac
New York Medical College
George Washington
Oakland Beaumont
Rosalind Franklin
Creighton
Tulane
West Virginia
NOVA MD
any new schools that may open for 2019 (Seton Hall, Roseman, Kaiser).
Also apply to several DO schools and include PCOM and LECOM.

Thank you for the advice! Would it be worthwhile to do an SMP or post bacc to boost my GPA?

You do not need a post bacc for DO schools but it may help your chances for MD schools if you did well in the post bacc.
