-Non-trad, 3.7cGPA and 3.8 BCPM
-31O (PS 11/ VR 11/ BS 9) -disappointed, I was averaging 35 on FL's and never scored below a 13 on VR. No plans to retake this cycle
-I have most of the typical EC's- hospital volunteering (~200 hours) doctor shadowing (~60 hours)
-research in plant genetics and breeding
-former inner city teacher
-non-URM VA resident originally from Chicago

Tentative school list:

VCU
VTech
EVMS
Loyola
RFU
Rush
U of Illinois [hate the cost]
Wake Forest
Creighton
Iowa
St. Louis
Medical College of Wisconsin
Georgetown
George Washington
Temple
Jefferson
Commonwealth
Drexel
NYMC
Maryland
Miami

Major reaches:
Northwestern
Mayo
UVA
Emory

How does that list look? Any that you fine readers of SDN would suggest I add or subtract? Thanks in advance

I think you have a good shot at all the schools..However, schools like Mayo/northwestern probably want a higher mcat say 33-35. If u are not planning to retake then it is still possible with fantastic EC, PS., lORS.

Bumpity bump. Any more thoughts on that list or my chances? I'm thinking of including Arizona as well

Rush doesn't take all that many OOS students. I would maybe switch out Rush for a private school like Albany or Hofstra.

me and u have similar stats bud. Check my thread that I made and look at the list of schools. I might add a few more reaches/target schools tho.

I like your school list. I think if you will get quiet a few interviews, and if you do well you have a great shot at getting in. If you feel like adding more schools, some I would suggest include:

- SUNY Downstate
- Albany Medical College
- Tulane University

Good Luck 👍

I'm pretty sure Rush is also a private school. And G6- Thanks for the input. I'll be giving serious consideration to both Tulane and Albany. Thanks for the feedback folks
