Hey everyone. I'm planning on applying to DO schools this coming cycle and need some help with a school list. I'd like to keep the number of schools to a minimum due to $$$.

MCAT: 28

GPA: 3.94

150 volunteer hours in ER

200 volunteer hours at Salvation Army

40 hrs shadowing (25 MD and 15 DPM)

-some research in college with a few presentations but no publications [emoji53]

-anatomy teaching assistant for two years

How big of a deal is it not to have any DO shadowing or a LOR from a DO? Any advice would be very helpful! Thanks!

What state are you in? Are you also applying MD?

There are some DO schools (like LECOM and KCOM) that require a DO
LOR. For most schools, you won't get dinged without DO exposure, but having definitely will help.

You're fine for any school, except AZCOM. Your MCAT might be too old for some schools.
