Hey guys!

I'm new to the forum but I feel like i'm learning a lot already. I'm currently getting my Masters in Clinical Psych at pretty good school in California. I double majored at Baylor in psychology and journalism. I have multi journalism internships and one that was international. I have some volunteer work, a little research experience, and by June of 2013 I'll have somewhere between 200 and 300 hours of direct client interaction providing therapy to kids with problems ranging from conduct disorder to bipolar. In under grand I had a 3.2 gpa not fantastic, right now I have a 4.0. I still need to take the GRE. I'm wondering if I might have a chance in getting into Scripps, NYU, Columbia, USC, LMU, Or even John Hopkins post bac? I'm really hoping to go to medical school and specialize in psychiatry. Thanks for the help guys!

I went through the Columbia postbac program, though you'd have no way of knowing that that. You'd definitely be accepted there. It's tough and expensive and you don't get coddled. You learn a lot and have the opportunity to meet great people. The results are usually good - most of my class got into med school this year. Some have to reapply, some quit. Please feel free to ask me if you have any specific questons.
