There are around 17 programs in NYC but they range in quality. Did you mean any program in NYC or do you have any in mind?

Yes you have a good chance. I would certainly rotate at one or several of their programs. I know there is a DO at Cornell in their residency program. I bet you could contact him and get some advice.

Yes, Paul is over at Cornell and Matt is at LIJ. Your scores appear competitive, and you have made a good choice switching from ER. Are you over at NYCOM?

To start, I'd also recommend doing some research into both the (DO and MD) programs and the field.

Also... Despite having a decent chance if you focus your efforts in NY, I would try and mentally prepare for matching outside NY.
