Chances at any of the calif schools. Chances in general?
I realize I need to work on my EC's. I plan to start volunteering at a hospital very soon and will mention that in my app. Just trying to get through the paperwork :-/

Your chances of an acceptance somewhere are excellent. Your chances for California school? Who can say. They seem to like candidates that stand out in some way, whether via leadership, amazing community service, outstanding research, or stats. I'd say your MCAT score makes you stand out, but you can't assume the person screening your application will feel that way, too.

Can you get in some quick physican shadowing before you apply. Lots of schools like to see that. Eight hours with each of two to three types of physicans would be nice. Other than coursework, you don't get to mention future planned ECs. Be sure to get started on whatever you want to list on your primary application.

Who knows about CA schools, your GPA and MCAT are excellent, but honestly, the previous post is absolutely right, they pick people who stand out in some way or another. It's tough to get in as a typical applicant.
