Chances for Emory

I'm an IMG really hoping to get a spot at Emory, as I have family in Atlanta and my partner wants to do his PhD there... My brief resume:

Step 1: 240
Step 2 and 3 still pending

Have 3 publications in Psychiatry, 1 in medical education. Good marks at med school and LoR. Electives at IoP in London. Any thoughts on my chances?

What medical school did you attend?

Are you US IMG or FMG?

Are you applying directly from med school, or have you been out for a while, and what have you been doing?

Do you mean they are pending in "I've taken them and am waiting for scores" or "I haven't taken them yet?" Because not having those scores is probably a major problem. Otherwise, there's nothing from what you've said that suggests you wouldn't be a fair candidate for a program like Emory. There are, of course, about 20 other variable to consider, of course.

Pending as in I haven't taken them yet, but only applying next year so I have enough time. I realize its a difficult question, the only reason I asked re Emory was that if I look at their current residents, they seem to all be rather amazing... And yet the "stats" for psychiatry suggests it is of the less competitive specialities for residency positions. Those stats, of course, don't say anything about what it takes to get into the really good programs, hence my question. Any thoughts are helpful!
