Hi Everyone,

I'm currently a junior and have a overall gpa of 3.6 and a sci gpa at around 3.3-3.4. I was wondering about my chances of getting into a state school (Im a California resident). I have not taken my DATs yet and am planning to take a gap year. I was also wondering whether or not Dental schools take into account the undergraduate school that you go to. Im currently attending UC Berkeley. I'm worried that my gpa is not good enough for dental school at the moment and was wondering what gpa I need to be more competitive for schools in my state (UCSF,UOP)

Any responses would help! Thanks!

I think your GPA is fine. You're in with the masses, which isn't a bad thing. Tons of students are accepted with your GPA!

It's hard to tell, though, without your DAT scores. Ask again when you've taken it. 🙂

im OOS 20AA 3.5 gpa got an interview at UCSF.. since you are a cali resident you will have better chance than OOS for UCSF
