Hi all!

I just graduated and am in the process of applying to dental school. My GPA is around a 3.508 and my sGPA is around a 3.3. I know it's low, but I have a very strong upward trend from freshman year. I have taken my DAT once and received average scores. I am retaking at the end of June and am hoping to do well and better than the last time.

I have around 200 shadowing and volunteering hours. I have worked in the dental field since I was a sophomore in high school, and am currently employed by my in-state dental school now as an assistant.

I am nervous about applying to dental school, but still want to give it a shot. I was wondering what are my best chances for out of state friendly schools?

Thank you!

I don't know what your DAT score is, but I am assuming around 17. I would say study really hard for this upcoming DAT and try to get a 20 or over. You still have some chance of getting into some dental schools. Look at the average GPA and DAT for some of these schools, and apply to the lower ranking ones.
